"ACAPPELLOOZA 2008!"
September 23 and 24, 2008

Dear Music Educator:

We are thrilled to announce that the 5th annual high school a cappella event, ACAPPELLOOZA 2008, is coming your way on September 23th for Girls, and September 24th for Boys, in the beautiful Blanche M. Touhill Center on the campus of the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Many of you have participated in our acappella festivals in the past and know what a rewarding experience it is for your students. We believe this will be the best festival yet.

• Registration will begin at 8:15, and the festival will end by 1:30. This, we hope, will allow all participants to enjoy the culminating concert and still make it back to their schools in time for buses and after-school practices and rehearsals.
• All music will be distributed and taught on site, so you don’t have to purchase music or take time out of your busy teaching schedule to prepare your students in advance.
• Lunch will be provided at UMSL’s unique Millennium Student Center so you won’t have to mess with sack lunches and coolers.
• You and your students will get to enjoy a concert featuring top notch singers and vocal ensembles.
• Your students will experience the thrill of singing in UM-St. Louis’s incredible Touhill Center.
• You will have the vocal music techniques you teach every day reinforced by Dr. James Henry and other acclaimed choral musicians with proven techniques for rehearsing and inspiring young singers
• Your young men and women will be a part of an exciting and engaging activity will energize and motivate them to want to continue singing for the rest of their lives.

We will be limiting the size of the festival to 500 students. So be sure to get your reservation in early.

The cost for everything is $10.00 per student.

Complete one of the registration forms linked at the bottom of this page. Registration fee ($10.00 per student - Non-Refundable) should be made out to The Ambassadors of Harmony and sent to the address below by September 12, 2008.

Location And Directions

From I-70 to the East Entrance and Ticket Office: Take the Florissant Road exit (exit 240A) and travel south one-half mile to Bellerive Drive. Turn right onto Bellerive Drive and park in the Millennium Student Center Garage to your left or in Parking Lot E to your right. Valet parking is available in the circle drive in front of the entrance during performances. Follow signs for handicapped parking.

From I-70 to the West Entrance: Take the Florissant Road exit (exit 240A) and take the first right onto Mark Twain Drive. Travel west to the intersection. Turn left and then take the first right. Proceed to parking in Lot K to the right. Follow signs for handicapped parking.
