St. Louis City Alderman Stephen Conway presented Mayor Slay's proclamation to AOH Director Jim Henry and President Ron Grooters at the Ambassadors of Harmony recording session at Touhill Performing Arts Center. The Mayor proclaimed August 19th as "Ambassadors of Harmony Day".

The Mayor issued the proclamation in recognition of the Ambassadors' long record of musical excellence in a cappella singing, including eleven consecutive annual Central States District Chorus Championships, and the 2004 International Chorus Championship. The 160 man chorus won the International Gold Medal at the Barbershop Harmony Society's International Convention on July 3rd, in Louisville Kentucky.
