Gene
heard barbershop chords while he was still in the womb, and despite his
young age, he has 20+ years experience in this chorus. He has always loved
harmony, and could sing as soon as he could talk. He joined the chorus
in 1985. He sang in youth quartets called the Minor Chords and the New
Breed, winning the Area Contest. He has always been a strong contributor
to the Ambassadors of Harmony. His natural ability and physical prowess long ago earned him a place on the front row. He is a “heart” singer, and he has the ability to really get into the lyrics of the songs he sings. And in the last few years, his leadership qualities have blossomed and he has risen to command a prominent role in the chorus. He has developed a remarkable ability to articulate and demonstrate the principles of visual presentation. He oversees front row choreography, and he has become the nucleus of the visual performance team.
He brings his professional skills as a Chiropractor to effectively coach and demonstrate alignment, posture and body language for excellence in performance. He has earned place as a valued and respected member of the music team, and is helping to carry us forward in our journey to the apex of the barbershop choral art form.
